Martial Arts Museum Adds two New Board Members
The Martial Arts History Museum has added two new board members to their team.
/24-7PressRelease.com/ - LOS ANGELES, CA, Nov 26, 2004, -- It was announced that the non-profit organization the “Martial Arts History Museum” ( www.martialartsmuseum.com ) based in Los Angeles, California has appointed two prestigious martial artist to their board of directors. This museum is dedicated to the preservation of martial arts history worldwide.
“The following individuals are recognized in the martial arts community as leaders and valued contributors to the martial arts and preserving its traditions, we welcome Alan Goldberg and Art Camacho to the board of the “Martial Arts History Museum”” stated Michael Matsuda, founder and president of the Museum.
Other general appointments for the museum are Karen Matsuda , she has been appointed the “ Martial Arts History Museum’s” operations manager. These newly appointed board members and non board members will play a vital role in the success of the museum.
About Alan Goldberg
Alan Goldberg is a business entrepreneur and publisher of Action Martial Arts Magazine. An outstanding member of the community, Alan is credited with continually hosting the biggest martial arts convention in the world, “The Mega Martial Arts Expo” ( www.theactionarena.com ). He has assisted the Martial Arts History Museum on many occasions and will hold additional duties representing the Eastern Region of America. Alan is also a key player in the “Black Salt” film and video game project ( www.blacksaltfilm.com ) that was created by Owen Ratliff and Aries Carmona of the Ratti Entertainment Group, he also sits on the board of several other prestigious martial arts institutions.
About Art Camacho
Art Camacho has been a recognized film director for many decades. He has worked with some of the top martial arts talents in Holllywood including Steven Seagal, Cynthia Rothrock, Benny Urquidez, Michael Dudikoff, Gary Daniels, and was Don “The Dragon” Wilson’s fight choreographer for many years. He traveled to Germany where he spent 11 weeks working as the action coordinator on Steven Seagal’s film “ Half Past Dead” for Sony Pictures.
Art played a vital role in the launching of the Museum and continues to bring recognition of the museum in the film industry. In 2003, Art was inducted into the Martial Arts History Museum’s Hall of Fame with the Funakoshi Contributor’s Award. Art has done more for the martial arts in film than any other martial arts enthusiast has.
About the Martial Arts History Museum
The Martial Arts History Museum was founded in 1999. Its goal is to preserve the history of the martial arts through the creation of an actual museum. In addition, the museum is dedicated to recognizing the pioneers and contributors of the martial arts by creating and maintaining the official Hall of Fame. The museum is planning to open its doors in 2006.
